About Us
Matrix Guitar School is the preeminent place to learn guitar on the Sunshine Coast. We teach to all ages 8 and over, with fun and engaging lessons that teach the fundamentals of guitar playing in the context of music our students are inspired by. Each student's unique talents and goals are supported, all the while boosting their confidence, nurturing their creativity, and maximising their potential. We produce fast results in a pressure-free environment. We are not just your 'local guitar teacher' - Matrix Guitar School is a community where students learn together, socialise, and share their passion for music. We host monthly Jam Sessions/Live Performances where students are given the opportunity to hear others play, to perform, and to build their stage presence and musical communication. We ensure our students get the highest-quality and most well-rounded guitar tuition possible. We also have flexible scheduling options to accommodate busy lives.

Jeff Willbanks
Owner & Operator
Jeff Willbanks has been playing guitar for more than thirty years. He attended Guitar Institute of Technology (now Musician's Institute), located in Hollywood, California. While he has experience playing in a band, in a duo and as a solo performer, his passion is in guitar tuition. Over the course of the past 20 years as a guitar teacher, Jeff has developed a guitar-teaching method that is second-to-none. He is committed to sharing his passion for guitar with patience, encouragement and fun.
